The Best Night's Sleep: Peace House Sakura offers traditional futon bedding in their air-conditioned rooms. It felt like sleeping on a fluffy cloud, ensuring a good night's rest after exploring Kyoto's beautiful sights.
Loose Wallpaper Woes: The room interior could use a bit of work as I noticed some loose wallpaper. However, this minor issue didn't detract from my overall enjoyable stay.

The staff is very friendly and willing to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The rate is fair and budget-friendly.

Staff is very lovely, we made a cook eveyday, it's very cheap.
It's not so clean, but for a short stay, it's okay

During my stay at Peace House Sakura, I found two features of the hotel to be quite convenient. as a frequent traveler, I often find myself in need of a transit hotel, and Peace House Sakura perfectly served this purpose. Its location near the train station made it easy for me to access the hotel, and its proximity to Osaka Itami Airport was a great advantage for my next flight. I appreciated the database's mention of the distance between Peace House Sakura and Karasuma, which helped me plan my itinerary accordingly.
The Wi-Fi was not working in the dorm where I was staying.

Rather rundown building, for this money we stayed at business hotels in other cities.

There was only one staff member at Peace House Sakura who was very friendly, though clearly overworked, and there's a nice communal atmosphere - with everyone spending time together in the kitchen and making plans to travel together. The location is decent for some Kyoto temples, and is in a nice area of the city, accessible by bus to everywhere else. Its a very backpacker orientated place, so if you're happy with cheap and cheerful then this is perfect for you.
The building is small, and the kitchen is the only communal space so you're all crammed in together, though that can be fun depending on who else is there. Its a very backpacker place, and my 8 bed dorm had one shower and toilet to use which were upstairs and basic. As there is only one member of staff, you cannot check in until 6pm so the tiny hallway is full of bags all the time and everything feels tiny. The bunks are odd - the top has a plastic tunnel over it which is pointless, and the bed was very loud, while the bottom bunk is a thin mattress on the floor. I'd recommend this for short stays only.

The hotel had a great location close to the river and the main temples. the staff was very helpful and gave us great recommendations on where to eat. we enjoyed the traditional Japanese style room with tatami mats and futon beds.
the futon beds were very thin and uncomfortable to sleep on.

Peace House Sakura felt very .. "homey"; very comfortable and felt welcomed and the location was near many temples ( Gion district , Imperial Palace , and Train Station.) The Staff is very friendly and Multi- Lingual (Chinese , English , Japanese) Wifi all around and free computer usage in the lobby. Full Stock Kitchen and lobby that allows socialization with other like minded travelers. Full house is non- smoking and very clean. Bikes available!
The Storage situation was not ideal, but not an issue unless there are many guest checking in that day (bags left along hallway) Refrigerator often does did not have enough space for everyone.

Here, We received top-notch exclusive amenities such as lush bedding, exquisite toiletries, and a stocked minibar with complimentary snacks and drinks. the private facilities included a rainfall shower and a deep-soaking bathtub, providing a relaxing experience. the room advantages included a spacious and stylishly decorated room equipped with modern technology.
We noticed a minor issue with the room's lighting. Some lights were not working, which made the room slightly dim, especially at night.

It's a typical back-packers hostel, for good and bad. The common room is nice and the staff is friendly.
It feels very crowded. Small restrooms and showers and narrow corridors.

Lots of international people choose this place, the position close to the city centre is good to go out in the night. Akira, the responsible of the hostel, is nice and helpful
I guess you can find cheaper places for sleeping in kyoto.
